At Calvary we believe that serving others is one of the primary ways we express our faith in Jesus and our desire to follow Him. We also believe that we do that most honourably when we are serving in our area of passion. There are a number of great opportunities both within and outside our walls for you to consider most of which can actually be read about on this website. Our Passion
Calvary Church is a community of believers who together enthusiastically seek to follow Jesus wherever he leads us. Just as we are to love God with all we are and have, Jesus tells us to love our neighbours as ourselves. Specifically, that means we seek to love the neighbours we find near us at Pape and Danforth, as well as those more widely in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and even around the world.

Our Community
There a number of programs we offer with and in service to our neighbourhood:

ESL - English as a Second Language
This group is primarily for students visiting our city to learn English or anyone else who is interested in doing so. They meet on Sundays after the message during REALtime for a Sermon Reflections group and on Tuesdays for Bible Study (5:30-6:30 pm), refreshments (6:30-7:00 pm), and ESL Conversation (7:00-8:30 pm). Out of the Cold
Out of the Cold Beginning in late Fall and ending early Spring every Tuesday night this program serves a delicious and nutritious hot meal to those who need it. We also often provide quality clothing and share an encouraging word from the Bible. It’s a great opportunity to share the love of Christ in a tangible way. Pape Youth Centre
During the year we provide a safe, nurturing and Christ-centred meeting place for Junior and Senior High youth within our community. Daycamp
Our new City Kids Day Camps (Programs of Calvary Church Toronto) will operate for two weeks in July 2009 in partnership with CEF and CSM. One full day program camp will be held at the church each week and evening satellite camps will also be held within the community during this time. Our World
Jesus’ last commission to his followers was to disciple the nations. Calvary Church supports Christian workers working with people in Kenya, Monaco, Portugal, the Middle East, Cote d’Ivoire, China, North Africa, Bolivia, Philippines, Bulgaria and Greece. In addition we financially underwrite Pocket Testament League and Bible Stories Alive with Mrs. G, which have worldwide scopes of ministry.
