REALgroups

REALgroups are a great place to ‘do life’ together by: meeting new friends, building healthy and meaningful relationships, having fun together and growing closer to God.

REALgroups are also about providing a safe environment for you to give and receive:

Encouragement – everyone needs a kind word from time to time.
Comfort – we need someone to be there for us when we go through those tough times in life.
Motivation – we need other people to motivate us to become the person God created us to be.
Help – we cannot do this thing called life alone. We need other people.
Love – if we need anything in life it is this…unconditional love

The two words that best describe the REALgroup experience are: fun and life-changing.

Some of the fun activities our groups have participated in include: bowling, ice skating, walking along the boardwalk, providing breakfast for children at a local mission, going out to eat together, and passing out bottles of water during the Taste of the Danforth.

Examples of life changing learning opportunities within some of our groups have been: studying a book of the Bible, learning about the life of Jesus, discovering gifts and passions, answering questions about faith, learning to read the Bible for all it’s worth, and chatting about the most recent Sunday message. A time is also set aside for prayer when REALgroups get together. This provides a great opportunity to further build more meaningful relationships with God and in each other. Don’t worry if you aren’t comfortable praying publicly, listening is equally important.

New groups can be created at any time around any point of interest including hobbies, sports, music, books, community service interests or areas for learning…the possibilities are endless!
