Catchup Offering

As we celebrate our church’s anniversary this Sunday, will you prayerfully consider how you you might help us “Catchup” on our regular giving?  Gifts can be marked either as a Catchup offering or they can go to our regular Tithes and Offerings/General Giving.  Our goal is to raise $80,000. Thank you for your generosity!

Dear Calvary Church Family,

What if one Sunday, instead of heading home after church, you packed a picnic, grabbed the kids, and joined us for something truly special?
On Sunday, May 31st, we are heading to Thorncliffe Park from 3:00 to 6:00 PM alongside FFM and The Jesus Network for a community outreach. Thorncliffe is one of the most densely Muslim-populated neighbourhoods in Canada, and on this afternoon, many families from nations across the world will be right there in the park — open, approachable, and ready to connect.
This invitation is for everyone. Bring your family, spread a blanket, and let the kids play with the other children. That warmth and presence is already a witness. For those who have been looking for a natural way to share their faith, this is also a beautiful, low-pressure opportunity to step into it organically — hand someone a Bible in their heart language, pray with someone, start a real conversation. There will be a team around you if you want to shadow or partner up with someone.
Many of these families come from places where the name of Jesus is rarely spoken. Here in Toronto, God has brought them to our doorstep. On May 31st, we get to walk through that door together.
“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” — Luke 10:2
See you in the park!

To register your child(ren) for one of our programs for 2025-2026, please sign up HERE.

Sunday Mornings

We have children’s Sunday school during both morning services.  Children will join the services for the first 10 minutes and then head to their classes together. We offer a nursery and Sunday school up to grade 5.  We also have a parent/tot room where parents can stay with their infant and watch the service livestream.

Youth Ministry

Youth Sunday school class (for both Junior and Senior High students) takes place between the two services (start time about 10 am). Location: youth area (take south stairwell all the way up to the top).

Our Jr. High Youth Group (Grades 6–8) meets on Thursday nights from 6:30–8:30 PM during the school year.

Our Sr. High Youth Group (Grades 9–12) meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30–8:30 PM during the school year.

To register for youth programs, please sign up HERE.

Calvary Groups

Our small groups and ministry groups continue to meet together, some of which meet in person, others online, and others a hybrid of the two.

If you are interested in joining one of the groups below (or facilitating your own group), please contact the church at [email protected] or call 416-466-3040 to get connected.

The Transforming Prayer course runs after the second service from 12:15-1:30 pm in Missionary Hall, starting May 31 until June 28.

The Men’s Study and Fellowship meets on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm in the adult basement classroom.

The Seniors’ Bible Study meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at 11:00 am, with a potluck on the 3rd Thursday.  The next study is scheduled for June 4.

The Calvary International Community (CIC) meets on Sundays at 11:00 am, in the room beside the accessible washroom on the sanctuary floor.

Rev. Ron Grossman of Israel’s Hope Ministries is leading an in-depth Bible study on the book of Zechariah. The next study date TBD.

There is a “Bible chat” on Zoom, using the discussion questions from the previous Sunday sermon. The chat meets on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. All are welcome.
