Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes
Operation Christmas Child demonstrates God’s love by sending gift-filled shoeboxes to children in need around the world. Every shoebox is an opportunity to reach a child with the Gospel (from the Operation Christmas Child website).
Beginning this Sunday, October 25, you can pick up a shoebox from the church sanctuary. Click HERE for instructions and ideas for packing your shoebox! Please return your filled shoeboxes to the church by November 8.
Limited Church Access on Tuesday and Saturday Mornings
The corridor stretching from the parking entrance all the way to the elevators and kitchen is off limits on Tuesdays, 9 am to 12:30 pm and Saturdays, 10 am to 1:30 pm. The Pregnancy Care Center will be on site using Pastor Behnam’s office to meet and counsel women facing an unexpected pregnancy. During those times, all who are not involved in the Pregnancy Care Center ministry are to use the Middle Entrance (glass doors) of the building to enter and exit the building, without exception.
Calvary Church Toronto has signed a partnership/cooperation agreement with the Pregnancy Care Center. This includes having their staff, vetted volunteers from other churches, and our own volunteers use Pastor Behnam’s office, the nearby accessibility washroom, and parking entrance in order to bring in women for counseling and support in the East York/Danforth area who are facing an unexpected pregnancy and may be considering abortion.
Given the sensitive nature of this type of care ministry and the amount of fear and shame the women coming in are feeling, the PCC wants to ease their stress by having them come in privately (through the parking entrance) and not bump into or have any of our staff and members walking by Pastor Behnam’s office during counseling sessions.

In Loving Memory of Doris Sinclair
Dorothea Elizabeth (Doris) Sinclair, former missionary and longtime member of Calvary Church, passed into the presence of Jesus on September 30, 2026.
A Service of Remembrance & Thanksgiving will be held at Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton West, Toronto, on Saturday, October 24 at 1:00 pm. Her obituary can be found HERE.

Youth Ministry
Our Youth Sunday school class (for both Junior and Senior High students) takes place between the two services (start time about 10 am). Location: youth area (take south stairwell all the way up to the top).
Our Senior High youth meet on Thursday evenings, starting at 6:30 pm.

Sunday Mornings
We have children’s Sunday school during the services. Children will join the services for the first 10 minutes and then head to their classes together. We offer Sunday school up to grade 5 during both services and a nursery during the 9:15 service. We also have a parent/tot room where parents can stay with their infant and watch the service livestream.
Awana
Awana is a Biblically based program that helps children grow in their discipleship with Christ. Meetings take place on Sundays at 6:00 pm. REGISTER your child today!
Calvary Groups
Our small groups and ministry groups continue to meet together, some of which meet in person, others online, and others a hybrid of the two.

Danforth West Small Group CO-ED (Castle Frank Station)

The Women’s Bible Study meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 7- 8:30 pm.
The Men’s Fellowship and Bible Study meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 7:00 pm. Location: Clarkson Room (adult basement classroom).
Prayer Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at 7:00 pm. Location: Clarkson Room (adult basement classroom). All are welcome!
The Seniors’ Bible Study meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month, shortly after 11:00 am in Missionary Hall. A potluck lunch is included on the 3rd Thursday.
The Calvary Moms Bible Study meets every other Thursday morning from 9:45 – 11:15 am in the adult basement classroom. Childcare is available. The next study is on October 29.
Rev. Ron Grossman of Israel’s Hope Ministries is leading an in-depth Bible study on the book of Zechariah. The next study date TBD.
There is a “Bible chat” on Zoom, using the discussion questions from the previous Sunday sermon. The chat meets on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. All are welcome.
Heritage Hubs
Calvary Church will serve as one of the host sites for Heritage Hubs, which teaches seminary-level courses towards a certificate or degree program.
